correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds like you let the camera take all photos in full auto mode and assume that it is always correct for the scene. Then you adjust everything in P P to correct for your vision of the scene ? I and many other photographers prefer to shoot the scene as closely to the correct exposure by using all the controls available on the camera prior to making the final exposure. We therefore minimize any PP if needed at all. Yes, you will always get an image in Full Auto but it may not be the best possible image.

I think we mean the same thing but instead of "best possible image" I would say "most accurate image". Accurate meaning what the scene looks like to the human eye.

Sometimes a sociopath makes an interesting study. Totally off on a tangent. Psychopath, I don't know.
But, I vote we go on to a new subject.

Any of us can do that without needing approval

The write-up of the technique omits mention of an effective composition of the photo.

And properly so.

You really have no options to exercise.

Are we talking about Schroedinger's cat or the Cheshire cat?

Dear plumbbob1...Ayn Rand is the best name to learn about her. You asked if she was into photography. Ayn was into her husband handsome husband, Frank Oconer, a movie extra in "KING OF KINGS." She loved America, the movies, and individual responsibility for your own life. Even though she was not a beautiful woman on the outside, there are many stories of her inner beauty by her friends and admirers. I have a painting of her by llona in my home. Phyllis Cerf took this black and white portrait of Ayn Rand. ENJOY! Shooter41

I have the Nikon D1x, a Nikon Df and neither has the "Green Zone". So I guess I am out of luck. Following CHG_CANON advice I thought if I were to upgrade to the Nikon Z9 it would have the "Green Zone" but I guess it doesn't have the "Green Zone" either. No wonder Nikon is behind other companies for not even have the "Green Zone" on the flag ship camera that costs $5500.

Who is Ayn Rand? Google is your friend. Suffice it to say that she wouldn't have anything to do with many of those who go panting after her.

I really don't understand what you said. I see no relation between Ms. Rand and the "Green Zone". Also none of my cameras has the "Green Zone" nor Nikon top of the line cameras have it.

Shooter41's entire post seems like gobbledy gook because I am guessing it generated by ChatGPT or some other AI engine. He entered in some prompt with the topic, and what it spewed out is what was posted. Welcome to the world of AI trolling

We should not be rude to our fellow UHH members but what if the member is some form of AI and not a real person?

A possible possibility.
