So sorry for your loss Jack. I know you and Ghost Dog were very close. After all your tales about Murphy I feel like I knew him very well.

I send you my deepest sympathy for the loss of your friend/ family member. I doubt those who have never known the love of a pet can appreciate the depth of the emotional bond that exists, nor the wrenching pain and loss you feel when it breaks. I want to add my voice to those UHHers who clearly know this and hope to lessen your pain with loving words.
Frank
Sorry to hear this sad news Jack, sincere condolences.
Sorry to hear of your loss.
Sorry to hear of your loss Jack. Four legged friends are true buddies and pals.
Our cats and our dogs are our children for many of us that we know will be leaving us before we pass. We live our lives with them with a kind of anticipatory grief. Knowing that their end will be inevitable some day doesn't make it one bit easier. It still cuts deep. I don't know the original history of how Murphy came to be the Ghost Dog, but I do know that he was in all of your images even when he wasn't because he was part and parcel of your whole life. My heart is with you during these difficult times as grief gradually transitions into memory as it surely will.
I have lost 5 out of 6 of my closest buddies in the past 2 years 4 doggies and one amazing kitty. My remaining buddy is a little blond terrier I call Darcy who rescued me when I was was driving along a backroad in the middle of the desert. Best guess on her age is about 13 and a half to 14. She is perky and happy all the time, but her vision is getting worse, and her hearing is deteriorating I know our time is fleeting but I just hope you get a warm happy feeling when you look at your images of Murphy that I get remembering all of the happiness I was able to have sharing my time with such loving friends. I’m so sorry for your loss., John

My sincere condolences on your loss of Murphy. It is tough to lose true family members but I have no doubt right this minute he is running free and living a good life on that next plane of existence.
