I make a book yearly for my grandchildren. I've done 7 books, always using Printique (Adorama). The books turn out lovely. Printique offers the ability to really do your own design, not someone else's format.

One year, I made a really bad error and all the photos were cropped wrong. It was my error. I corrected the problem and they reprinted at no second charge.also. you can reach them by phone for questions. Tutorials are good. I highly recommend them.

Jerry:

My wife and I have done about 50 different books on Shutterfly. The subjects have been large gettogethers and about 80% of them being our many vacations in the National Parks in Utah, Nevada, Colorado, California and Washington state. We would never use anyone other than Shutterfly. They offer great hard cover books and good prices. You could not go wrong with them.

My wife uses Shutterfly. Their products are exceptional, and if there is a problem (only one time some of the photos went to the edge of the page and were slightly cut off) they replace the book with no issues at all. You should check out for initial offers for new customers. Once you are a regular, they will from time to time offer things like free additional pages, and free shipping. So my wife prepares her photo book on their site and then waits for the special offers. We have gone back many many times, and their products are quality, and durable (as we have some that are from 2014 and the binders are good as new). Happy photo book making!

I have used Shutterfly for over 25 books, different sizes. I wait for the sales and the outcome has always been excellent. Very easy to deal with.

I used Blurb. The quality was excellent but the print in draft form was so small that I missed many typos and had to redo the book.

I chose Blurb because they offer the best colour management.

I haven't made a photo book in years, but I'm about to put one together. Do you have any recommendations pro or con. I've used several companies in the past, mainly Adorama. This would be a hard cover book, maybe twenty-four pages.

I have used Adorama for garden books for my wife (the gardener). The photo work is fine. The software to prepare the book is a bit sketchy......could be more user friendly. Overall, I like their books.

My son has about a hundred cell phone pics and the same number of stills on his camcorder, and they're better quality. He'll have to sort through them, and I'll process them.

I just used Blurb for the fist time this past month for a church friend. Ease of creation and quality was very good. Only complaint was the turn time seems long ( 12 days) -

But I may be spoiled from the other vendor I've used and gotten same day printing - Walgreens! I've actually got great results from them for personal projects and some times they have a 50% sale. Easy to create too!

I’ve used Blurb for most of mine and one Shutterfly. All turned out great. Blurb has a couple sales a year with some decent discounts, if there is no time constraint. My books tend to be 50-75 pages.
