I haven't made a photo book in years, but I'm about to put one together. Do you have any recommendations pro or con. I've used several companies in the past, mainly Adorama. This would be a hard cover book, maybe twenty-four pages.

Blurb.com
I have made 14 books over the years with Blurb. I use their software which is incredibly easy to use and their first step up glossy paper (but paperback covers) and I am very happy with the results and speedy service. Recommended.

My son has about a hundred cell phone pics and the same number of stills on his camcorder, and they're better quality. He'll have to sort through them, and I'll process them.

Jerry, You've gotten many good suggestions, and there are lots of folks who can make nice books.
The only things I would add, is to look carefully at their examples, every company has a slightly different look and quality level / price point. Decide what you want the book to look like, the kind of paper and gloss level, full bleed or borders, stiff lay flat pages or more standard pages......do you want machine layout or do you want to sequence and juxtapose and or add text. Each company is better at some things than others.

I am a big fan of books, and even the inexpensive ones often end up being treasured.
So I guess my advice is to think specifically about exactly what you want, and that will help you get what you are hoping for.

Yes! Adoramapix did that. My son is going through about 350 pictures, so this will take a while.

I use Mixbook to make annual books of photos for each of my grandkid's. They were the only vendor I found that could make lay flat books with thick pages that would stand up to them.

For regular books, I would use Shutterfly. I used Apple in the past but they got out of the book business.

We're going with Mixbook. They have the best pricing, good reviews, and their site is easy to use. We've culled the 350 down to about thirty pictues.

That will be choice to make, but I prefer the flat pages. On the other hand, I probably have a dozen photo books upstairs that I looked at twice and left on the shelf. Is it worth paying extra for that. As I said, his choice.

Your screen name reminds me of a YouTuber - Back Yard Scientist - some wild stuff. I'm surprised he hasn't been kicked out of the neighborhood.

My screen name comes from a famous astronomer John Dobson who had a movement of setting up telescopes in busy areas and show the world the sky. In old days screen names were limited to 16 letters so I left the "E" out in sidwalk.
Dobson also developed a new type of mount that changed amateur astronomy called the Dobson mount

Look him up he's quite interesting. He was a monk at one time snuck out and set his scope on streets of I believe San Francisco and forced people to look at the sky or walk around it.
I go to the boardwalks at the NJ shore and show people the sky
