I have made several orders from Temu, mostly related to woodworking or similar. One thing to watch out for are the sizes. Ordered rolls of velcro in colors, its only 1/4in wide couldnt tell from picture. Also I didnt buy clamps that were cheaper than Harbor Freight but the size was 1/2 of the HF clamps, otherwise I have been pleased with items and delivery time. Got a knee brace for $2.00, works and would have paid $15 at Walmart.

I've ordered from them several times and like what they have sent. I bought several lengths of Velcro cable ties, some micro screwdrivers, and several other small tools. So far so good. What I like is that they have some very unique items you may not see anywhere else.

You are so correct!!! We should be willing to pay a higher price if it is USA made. The Chinese GOVT was a project of Richard Nixon, who made 'friends' with them, Bill Clinton started sending our products to China to help them, the Chinese 'Govt' did whatever you could to remove the Chinese people out of huge areas to make room for buildings, bridges, highways so they could not compete but to make their country the huge 'mega country' it is now! They insist areas are in their Chinese country. Where is America going? With Burdin as President and friends with the Chinese ruler we can't be at ease.

We should never try to take over a country even tho' most have at one time or other. The Chinese govt sent what they considered the very low class citizen's to another country and the other country became the Filipino Islands. They are a very wonderful people, very constructive. people, very enlightening people.

The former Chinese government would have been a far better government for they had a more free-thinking mentally. I have had Chinese professionals as neighbors from China and they were exemplary people. They did not support Govt thinking. They told stories of current persecution. Now I wonder if you support their policies because of $$$$? Where is your thinking. You should buy USA products whenever you can. I know Sketcher's are comfortable but is your conscience clear with what you're doing? They are sending more Chinese men to our country (over the border) 200 and more daily! Why do they do it? They have a 'Chinese FBI' on the east coast to learn about our country for survalence purposes. Why? Do you really believe purchasing Chinese products won't hurt anything? Why do so many purchase from China when they persecute Muslims, Christians, Jewish people as if they are NOTHING?!

The problem is that labor and material costs got to high which would have caused significant increases in prices to the consumer. China holds the largest rare earth minerals reserves in the world and they have exclusive rights in Nigeria. I read an article from a economics researcher from Stanford and he said that most items, if manufacturing was brought back wouldn't be affordable. The other thing that people forget is thee manufacturing infrastructure no longer exists in a large swath of the US. It would take trillions to rebuild new factories, the utilities grid, transportation like expanding the rail system to allow loading from warehouse doors. Material costs will go up considerably and labor costs will be outrageous. In the article I read, price would go up from 100-1000 percent.

Our government is corrupt in both parties. I worked with a lady from China and she was the best programmer that I worked with in 40 years. Education is excellent for those who go through the academic training. They learn or get thrown out.

Many, probably most, Chinese people are fine and honest, but too many Chinese sellers are not. I will never buy rechargeable batteries, of any type, or any memory cards from China without verification test or reviews. These two categories of products are easily faked and not obvious. I always seek reviews of any costly Chinese products on Google before I buy. For the low cost stuff I order from TEMU I can risk it, but so far I am very happy with TEMU's large selection and low cost, with free shipping,

The Chinese do not "make everything". Many goods come out of Indonesia, Korea, Vietnam, Mexico, Pakistan, and India.

You can buy products from other countries but you can buy almost anything from China. I am well aware that many others asian countries are now making a lot of products. But if you want to buy American then it's kinda late.

I as well as many others understand your trepidation. But be extremely careful. You may find yourself dragged up to The Attic by your ankles banging the back of your head on all 39 steps. As for me, I entered a thread and professed my education about the US Constitution. I was relegated to the Attic as well. It is dark, dank and not so lonely up there. I advise against it because this is a photography blog and we really don’t need political diatribe. If you wish to share your politely beliefs use an email and avoid The Dreaded Attic!
