I'm using all Nikon batteries. I've never had a problem with them since I started with digital. The good news is, these batteries fit all my digital cameras, so I don't have to worry about what goes where. I've been using D5100, 5200, 5300 and 5600. With that, I've attached a specific lens on each camera and now I don't have to change lenses (especially outdoors), very often. If I have two or three cameras with me, I will carry two or three extra batteries. My car even has an electrical outlet that will let me charge when away from home.
I'm not a beginner, I bought the d5000 series because they are very light and yet help me make decent photos. I do a lot of travel and make photos of landscapes rather than people. (and I'm old and lighter makes me happy)
