Our trip to Iceland in the Summer of 2021 aboard the National Geographic Explorer was extremely rewarding. There were natural wonders and wildlife galore. So far, I have published a sample of just some of the birds that live in huge colonies around Iceland and the surrounding smaller islands. Some of them are migratory and others are endemic to the islands. Black Guillemot, common eider, fulmar, barnacle goose, kittiwake, northern gannet, oystercatcher, phalarope, puffin, redshank, seagull, artic tern, snow bunting, etc.
Nature never ceases to amaze.
