Time we nationalized OUR oil Companies

The oil has historically been a problem to USA political honesty. Example Teapot Dome scandal 1920s, thing are still perking in that tea pot. In 2012 profits will be about 135 billion plus all he bribes to congress plus money we subsidize yearly.

Oil is a strategic need of the USA, satisfy our needs first. New techniques will bring life to dead wells and will make USA a top producer, thus profits in 2013 and beyond will increase.

Oil companies have milked us-a long enough, time for a change they have made their profits from American land long enough. That land was mostly just leased... call them in.

In the future money would come to the USA not going out to support countries supporting terrorism.

President Christina Fernandez is in the process of nationalizing the Argentine oil industry.

What do you think folks, shall we?

I'm thinking that you should invest a couple of hundred dollars with Rosetta Stone and move to Argentina.

No more drilling. What a right wing crock of shit. Drilling is up 40% under Obama. You can argue about public vs. private lands, but permits have increased under Obama, too. The International Energy Agency issued a report just yesterday that predicts that within 15 years the U.S. will be the largest producer of oil in the world, even bigger than Saudia Arabia.

And before anyone screams ignorantly about the Keystone pipeline, please keep in mind that the U.S. will not see a single drop of oil from that pipeline. The CEO of the company has made it clear that every drop of oil going to Louisiana will be exported. Which means besides some temporary jobs building it, the only benefit to the U.S. will be the jobs created to clean up when the pipeline bursts and spills super heavy shale oil in our rivers and streams, which we currently have no technology to mitigate. Talk to the people in Michigan who saw that happen to one of their rivers.

I would put the oil industry in the hands of a three year old child before I would put our federal government in charge of it! Our government has a total non-military achievement record of zero in business management. Don't count GM, their stock still isn't up to where it was. In fact, they're having enough trouble just trying to handle government stuff, dpullum, don't pile more stuff on them.

SteveR? Communism as in the hippie communes? Or, communism as defined by 1950 crazy Senator McCarthy, who accused to be President Reagan of being a commie and then struck a plea deal with him to testify against others (innocents), ... Surly the "creaking door of condominium" and cannibalism...accusation is about as realistic as GWya's (Baby Bush, yes, that's right, the President Bush who claimed he fell on a plush carpet and got a black eye, sure!) "mushroom cloud" threat. One liners are the response of school yard fools, surly I have confidence that you can have an adult conversation. (PS Steve, a little USA oil on the hinges would stop the creeeeaking)

I expect little from Blurryeyed, he has inhailed too many party-line hydrocarbons and having erotic thoughts about sister Sara P. Blurryeyed, I lived in Argentina for a year and President Christina runs the country well,,, FOR HER POPULOUS... not for the good ol' guy status quo. We need to think of OUR USA populous not the profits of the Oil Companies. Utilization of Natural National Assets, not charity, begins at HOME and that is not communism, rather it is good sense. Let us have substantive discussion, not one liners.

(Wabbit's one liners xskoooded from quitisizem, they bee wubbable funny, viva la-wabbit)

I read in the papers that eventually the US will have more oil than Saudi Arabia and will be completely independent.Good thing you won't have to rely on these Arab states.

Sorry to introduce religion here!!
There was only one man to whom all were equal - Jesus Christ, and we crucified HIM.
You really don't know what Communism is all about. There was MORE favouritism and patronage under Communism than any other credo! (including Capitalism, etc.).

Nationalize the oil companies and the BANKS. Want to keep money and jobs in the USA?...require banks to invest in local companies and ventures.

Look at the results of Russia's nationalization, the UK tried it and Margaret Thatcher kicked it out. China has expanding privately owned business.

I think its GW bush's fault and those republicans fleecing the public. Barack will start a fact finding mission to determine how many votes were there and if the is any benefit to him before he does anything.
