Hi Kip, yes I remember Suzhou as I went there with a friend and stayed mainly in the old part of the city. I also visited Hangzhou and I even think I took lots of pictures in Zhujiajiao. If I'm not mistaken there is a large school there and I also visited many of the cities in that area having canal's. I was working out of Shanghai during 2007 and 2008 so I traveled as much as I could. That was the agreement I had before I agreed to go. They were manufacturing the section of the Bay Bridge for San Francisco and I was one of the inspectors. My very favorite section was the Guilin, Yangshuo and Xingping areas. It's one of the most beautiful areas you'll ever see and I managed to go there during each of my 6 visits. As a matter of fact I was able to take 3 hot air balloon trips over the area. A week after i returned home in 2009 my guide emailed me and she said that the government stopped all balloon rides because the balloon I was in went down killing 4 people and so that stopped all rides. In 2017 I did notice that there were ultra lights flying over that area but that wouldn't be the same as being in a balloon. If you should go back be sure to go to Yangshuo as well as Yellow Mountain and that is a place to see. They say that China has 5 mountain ranges but if you see Yellow Mountain you don't need to see the others. I'd better go, David
