I'm getting tired of them telling me to put my clothes back on when I walk around with my camera around my neck.😜

Yeah, I guess I'm whining!

#2 Electronic aperture control and no external aperture ring on the lens.

Got three of the compact Sigma primes, Sony E-mount with redundant aperture control rings that I find NO use for.

The ring occasionally gets accidentally moved when pulling the camera out of the bag. You realize that has happened when the usual aperture control on the body fails to operate.

I grew up with "whining" (def. 2), so I'll stick with it.

From Dictionary,com:
adjective
1. uttering a nasal, complaining cry, as from peevishness, discontent, uneasiness, etc.: If there’s one sound that makes me want to tear my ears off, it’s the sound of a whining tomcat. Our daughter has grown from a whining child on the first day of playgroup to one who asks to go even on Saturdays.

2. complaining in a petulant, self-pitying way: Those whining people who blame everyone and think everyone is against them need to grow up.

I suppose it depends on the source material.......

I know I paid more than $3.26 a roll for the same film in 1980 that costs $12.00 a roll today. But I'll take a $12.00 64GB SDXC card over a roll of film, today.

Whining because an online store is closed for a holiday.
Whining because they confuse “Expected Delivery Date” with “Absolute Guaranteed Delivery Date”
Whining about delivery service Companies.

One more addition:

Whining about reading 850-page camera manuals translated from Japanese to English by someone whose native language is not English...

(It is what it is.)

That is not usually an issue for still photography.

People who started with real movie film and now use video have a habit to do "fade to black" or "fade to white" with an aperture change instead of with post production software. They don't do (or cannot do, due to camera constraints) run-and-gun aperture adjustments with auto exposure, either. So there are still ciné lenses and a few Leica Micro 4/3 lenses that have "step-less" aperture control (no detents) for these purposes. Chances are, if you've earned the chops to do work that requires that, you can afford the right stuff. Or your production company can afford to rent it...

Many Sony and Sigma native E-mount lenses have de-clickable aperture rings on the lenses. Sigma for L-mount also (Sigma, Panasonic, Leica cameras) . You can choose to do manual aperture changes smoothly without any clicks , great for video. These de-clickable aperture rings also can be locked into "A" , for camera control of aperture settings.

Cheers
