The wild violets have popped up in our yard dotting so I staged one for a focus stacking session using a reversed 50mm enlarger lens mounted on a bellows that I extended to achieve this view.

Thanks, UTMike. It's a magnified view looking into the throat of the blossom at the stamens.

Thanks, Kpmac. I'm seeing more color and critters with each passing day. I saw my first fly Friday and several wasps today. The little dots of color are starting to show in the yard. Unfortunately, the darn onion grass is the only green in the yard thus far.

Thanks, Curmudgeon. It's a highly magnified view of the stamens.

Simple, inexpensive camera equipment and a myopic eye for photo subjects.
Typical of Sippy's sharp eyed bee's view of our world.

Thanks, Dpullum. Enlarger lenses are great for macro/micro photography. They are designed to be sharp corner to corner and to bring out razor-sharp details. When mounted on bellows, they become variable magnification which helps isolate and enlarge the view of the area of interest.
