Thanks for that Paul. I have only been there once. Lucked out, got 4th row seats just at the end of their dugout towards 3rd.

I found the park to feel much more intimate than any of the newer, larger ones. Great experience. We were so close you could hear the 3rd base ump and 3rd baseman jawing. Wonderful experience. And the Cubs beat the Reds 2-1 on three solo homers. Game was perfectly played by both teams. No errors on either side.

I was born and raised in the Bridgeport area of Chicago, not far from downtown and the Loop. To this day I do not get how so many people worship at the shrine that Wrigley Field has become. I have been to Wrigley Field only to see Da Bears play football before they relocated to Soldier Field. Have never seen a baseball game on the north side and have zero interest in doing so. In my lifetime the southside baseball team won a World Series before the northside team did; that's all that matters to me. Harry Cary? I would like to know how many baseball games he called when he was sober??? Sour grapes from me? I see things through a different pair of glasses having been through it all.

A little bit of trivia: what do the Chicago Cubs and California Angels have in common - They both played in Wrigley Field. The early stadium the Angels used when they were first founded was called Wrigley Field (long gone!)

Thank you Earnest, pesfls, b top gun, NDMarks, Properframe! Early weather forecast for Thursday is rain. We snowed-out a few years ago. But, this past weekend was supposed to be a few inches of snow that ended up not even being much rain. Wish us luck for Opening Day.
