Everyone has those, where is the FV?
It sounds and looks like you do not understand it with your obstinance and responses.
Study this mode then discuss.

You are waaaaaaay off base. My general use of M-mode has no connection to my personal version of Fv mode. Obviously, "Fv" requires engaging an AE mode (any AE mode).

Its verrrrry plain that "outside the box" camera skills are not your thing. That is the great value of the "new" Fv mode. It adds a door to the box for users that are otherwise boxed in ... and thaz clearly a Good Thing. I welcome it !

Its in most cameras .... but I do agree that its never named, or revealed in the user guides. And its apparently beyond your grasp. Be glad that Canon has now dumped it in your lap for you, and for most everyone else, too. I re-re-repeat that I see it as a very good thing.

Quit being obstinate. Admit that it is a great feature and that only Canon has it.
Show us where it is in your nikony.
The rest of us want to learn about this new to all cameras feature.

It really is how people see things. Most put it in whatever mode and think that’s all they control. With the great ISO performance of modern cameras I mostly shoot M with auto ISO but I used to always set it to Aperture priority. Was I controlling the aperture? Yes, but I was also controlling the shutter speed. If I wanted a different shutter speed I changed the aperture. My preference for aperture priority goes back to film when lenses had aperture rings. It was always easier to change settings while looking through the viewfinder there than fiddling with the little shutter speed dial on top.

No you do not want to learn it. Ive taught it several times in the past and am now quite finished casting pearls before swine. Enjoy the "new" Good Thing that Canon has dropped into your unworthy lap.

You've never used it.
Let us discuss the topic not you.

You are really a piece of work. I don’t need to use the feature to understand it. Conceptually it’s nothing new, just another way to implement it.
