"Woke" seems to be the trendy word in conservative circles. Will someone please explain what the meaning of "woke" is in this context? That word keeps being repeatedly kicked around and I can never get a consistent explanation from my conservative friends about what it actually means.

Woke is a catch-all phrase describing people and attitudes that focus on dismantling American culture by finding ‘victims’ of every policy, institution, tradition, and opinion. The woke are the ones rewriting novels to exclude the word fat or the words mother or father. The woke find offense in biological reality and in the idea that fact is non- negotiable.

Woke is a terrible label for just wanting to be all inclusive and non-offensive to fellow humans. It’s being the opposite of the Archie Bunker mentality. It goes way too far sometimes, but is not mean spirited.

It describes people who refuse to face reality and try to make the world fit their weird life-styles. They never "woke" up to life as it really is.

I agree wholeheartedly. It’s Moronic? No particular meaning, just a lot of rubbish.

The new "Woke" are those that woke up one morning and realized they were stupid.

Woke originally was a movement to expose social injustice, then devolved into idiocy.

Say something like "A t****y is a victum of a mental disease and the individual needs serious mental help". You'll find out the meaning of "woke" in a hurry.

If I wear a t-shirt that says:

Man
(XY)

The woke are those who would suggest that I am being hurtful to t***s ‘victims’. Mind you t***s (in the mind of the woke….oxymoron, but I digress) don’t suffer from dysphoria, but suffer because I DARE suggest a woman is defined by biology and maturity, not by feelings.

There’s nothing wrong with wearing a positive reinforcement of your values; I doubt you’d get any flack from even the most “woke”. Woke is a culture war frenzy filling the void of not having anything positive coming from politicians and media. There seems to be a need among the American citizens to be constantly agitated.

For those that don't understand, I present the definition of WOKE from Webster's Dictionary:

What to Know
Woke is now defined in this dictionary as “aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice),” and identified as U.S. slang. It originated in African American English and gained more widespread use beginning in 2014 as part of the Black L***s M****r movement. By the end of that same decade, it was also being applied by some as a general pejorative for anyone who is or appears to be politically left-leaning.

Oxford dictionary (online) says it is "alert to and concerned about social injustice and discrimination", also to "become alert to or aware of". As opposed to the GOP which is just somnolent, dazed, and confused.
