The election is over and I accept the results, I did not agree with them but I will not have to bear the worst of the results. I am bothered that my children and grandchildren will. This was sent to me by a friend.
"Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon on 04.28.2010."

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president."

Whoa!! Now that is food for thought. An interesting article and I am glad I am so old that I will not have to worry about what condition the US will be in when the generation of my great grand children take over.

There is another expression

"Who is the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him"

Personelly I don't believe any one person is to blame for anything, over the whole period of the election fever, more like election hysteria in the USA with copious quantities of theatrics and OTT electioneering you get what you pay for.

On the news here what we have seen is the THREATS made by some people there to "kill" people over the elections, incite RIOTS, national strikes.

All of this does more to damage how the rest of the world "sees" the USA than any one person could ever do.

I believe that once, many people, me included looked up to the Americans, they "were" the most pwerful nation, but not any more.

This article, I believe unfortunately speaks for many now.

My only comment is

"How the hell does someone making $80,000.00 a year fall into the hole"

Probably because Pam did not save any money.
Probably because Pam bought a house a little over her needs or budget ( 6 bedrooms ? )
Probably because Pam felt private schools better for her 3 boys.

Give me a break.

But now Pam won't work because the jobs offered are NOT on wall street so therefore BELOW her status.

I've shoveled poop to make money at times. I'm not too proud to work for any job and in 70 years I've NEVER asked for or received WELFARE or UNEMPLOYMENT benefits.

We're only seeing the surface of PAM Brown for sure.

I live here and really have not heard any of this "On the news here what we have seen is the THREATS made by some people there to "kill" people over the elections, incite RIOTS, national strikes." Most of the people I have talked to are concerned about our massive debt and probably a long recession for our economy along with a feeling of despair over the direction our country has turned. Of course I'm in that older group of people who believe in personal responsibility. We no longer are a people who believe that we should be responsible for our own welfare. The new normal here is that we should depend on a central government to provide for us cradle to grave. This is to be achieved by taxing the earners (redistributing the wealth) to provide for the rest. We no longer have a moral compass....if it feels good it's ok.

Gumslngr.......according to the liberals and very liberally slanted media, conservatives believe in (in no particular order):

keeping the black man down
taking away women's rights
sending hispanics back across the border
keeping the wealthy rolling in dough
forcing everyone to believe in God
Romney is a murderer
If you didn't vote for Obama you are a racist
Romney was going to end medicare and social security for everybody
Romney want to see the downfall of the auto companies
etc.
etc.

So now, gumslngr, you are saying that what conservatives believe in is all bull**it? You are right, because everything written above truely is bull**it. Thank you for finally understanding the truth.

Well Jerkkaye65, what you've listed there is actually true, and most of it can be found in the republican platform. But thanks for playing!

Dirtpusher........get something through your thick skull. I am anti-democrat. Being anti-democrat does not mean one is a republican. A statement like that is akin to calling somebody a racist because they didn't vote for Obama (I guess you belive 48.1% of the country is racist). However, I could easily choose republican values over democratic values because I believe in being financially responsible (even if republicans are only a wee bit better than libs), individuality and the freedoms afforded us by the constutition.

Also, as proof you buy into the liberal slant in the media, it seems you missed the part about the "vouchers" being voluntary. What is wrong with introducing a voluntary program. Is Obamacare voluntary and are you bitching about that?

Point me to an honest (unbiased) link that shows any of these things you claim as "true". You may need to take your blinders off to complete this task.
