Such a nice photo, getting good focus on so many. What focal length and shutter speed did you use?
I love to watch the geese at the Merced NWR. They go nuts when the bald eagle is hunting. All jump into the air at once and spiral round and round and make the loudest racket you could imagine.

Thank you. I used a Sigma 150-500, and I think 1/16000 or 1/2000. I will check.
I was there when there were a couple of birders there, and they pointed out a peregrine falcon that was flying around, and that caused them to spook. I don't know what got them going this time, it could have been anything. I didn't see one.
