In recovering photos "misplaced" in Lightroom, I came across the first shots I took with my wife's old (but then new to me) D80. She had been a good film shooter with her Minolta, so I gave her a Nikon D80. She decided that the multiple lenses and other things made the D80 I gave her too complex and went to a Canon point and shoot. I did want to "waste" the camera, so I decided to see what this photography thing was all about.
These shots were jpeg (before I knew that there was raw). I tidied them and they compose this set.
I put the series of shots that I put together for my first shot and posted them on "For Your Consideration" yesterday. R.G. was kind enough to apply his talents and you might want to see his work (

Your landscape "eye" was at work in this set. Luv the light and colors-the subject of course is beautiful in its own right! Thanx for sharing.

Nice find Mike!! I wish I'd known about RAW sooner too, but these look great and brought back fun memories of my trips to the Islands!
Clearly, landscape shooting is where it all started for you!
