So many questions, so few absolute answers, it's all new territory and until the courts sort it out we need to carefully navigate the resulting legal minefields. One of the understandings that I took away from the video is that at this point in time AI does not have any legal standing. So, even if you do not get a release from that AI "Model" you need not worry about being sued for copyright infringement or anything else for that matter. It will be interesting to see how this all evolves over time.

Yes, so many questions indeed...
Now imagine that some time from now ( in 2030?, 2040?) an AI proves to be fully sentient and challenges in court to be a legal citizen... Then things will get really funny.
According to one article that I recently ran across, some scientists working with AI now believe that the dreaded "Singularity" will occur in 7 years which would be 2030. So, it may well be that AI will have it's day in court much sooner than later.
