Real nice shots. As a New Englander I expected the Sonoran Desert to be just a lot of sand with a few cactus plants, here and there. As your shots show, it's very lush in its own way; it's just that the plants are all specialized to minimize water loss.

That's one Teddy Bear you won't hug. I always thought they would be great security devices planted under each window of the house and just keep the bars for the doors.

A lot of Easterners think that! Just like a lot of Westerners think N. E. folks wade around scratching in the sand for clams...Which they do!

And you'd be surprised how the ground holds moisture.
