Just a thought.
Assuming that your dog ate a whole box of Hickory Farms stuff.
You can rest assured that cardboard will not be the only thing you find on the floor!!

Don't you live with your son Jerry? If so he might eat it all.

My latest "misplace" is annoying. I bought my son a $65 box of Hickory Farms goodies. Although it didn't have to be refrigerated, I kept it cool, anyway. At some point, I removed it from the fridge, and I still haven't found it. It's a fairly large box with "Hickory Farms" written all over it. If my dog had found it and eaten it, there would be cardboard all over the floor. I'll look again today, but I'm not hopeful.

One thing I should do is write down where I put things so I can find them in the future. That's been on my To Do List for a couple of years now. It's #67.

Happy New Years. Look in the last place you would look for it. That works for me.

Among other things, I have at least three pipe wrenches. Need one maybe once or twice a year, but don't need three of them.

Write your lists on the wall paper, makes it harder (but not impossible) to lose them.

Especially if you go on a weekend fishing trip and come back to find the whole house got new wall paper while you were gone.

Hint: take lots of selfies with the lists on the wall as background.

When you get to my age, forgetting where you put things is just a small percent of the stuff you forget. I got myself a composition notebook, the kind you took essay tests in at school a long, long, time ago. It has bound pages that are lined. i write everything I may need to do or remember or where it's at. I keep in next to my recliner by my computer. Save my a$$ many a time.

I'm looking at it. It's right beside me. Another trick I learned to do to stop misplacing things. I love Swiss Army knives and I've gone through 3 or 4 of the big one's but the last one I got; I've had for 15 years. Anything I really don't want to lose, I put on my key chain. You can misplace your car keys but you never lose them. You look until you find them.

My dog is an eating machine. I hate to disappoint him, but I can't let him eat 24/7.

Speaking of notebooks, I was in the local hardware store a few days ago, and on the counter was a box of those little notebooks. You know the kind - 2.5" X 4". The price was $5.00! I remember when they were $0.50. I can't imagine anyone paying $5.00 for a tiny notebook.

Have you ever been looking for something, can't find the particular item, but come across something you were looking for a week prior?

I told my wife to look out for a bit of grey matter bouncing around; it's my mind and seems I've lost a bit of it.
She said she found it, put it in place where she wouldn't lose it.

Now it gone.
