Bought a Fujifilm xt5 and had a couple of issues with it, mostly a focus problem I bought this from Abes and after 2 e-mails I contacted them by phone and explained the problems, was told I would be contacted by a tech. So far 3 days and no contact from them. Poor customer service. Anyone else have issues with this company?

YES, many years ago, Sorry but it looks like you'er screwed.
Abe’s of Maine appears as a question every few months, with the typical response ‘run away…run away fast’.
I choose not to buy from Abes of Maine. I suspect you won't in the future.

They are also known for selling gray market gear, which sometimes won't be repaired, or warranty honored, by the official US importer.
With so many reputable dealers, why Abes?

Hopefully this is on a credit card. Call the credit card folks and dispute the charges. Return the camera and never do business there again. B&H is probably the safest place. There are others but Abe's is only known for shady.

Here are you options:
1) get a lawyer
2) keep contacting (forever)
3) take the loss, move on.
I bought a Yashica Mat 124G from them back in the 70's from a company called "Honest Abe", the name should have been a dead giveaway, I don't know if this is the same outfit. Needless to say, they weren't that honest. I had an issue with my purchase and never purchased anything from them again. Last week I purchased a Panasonic ZS80 from B&H, great company to deal with.
Abe's reputation is very bad. If you get no satisfaction contact your credit card company and dispute the charge.

Yeah, good luck with that.

I'm from New England, in the days we skied it was mostly in Maine. When I heard the name Abe's of Maine it gave me a warm feeling like a small town, honest and down-to-earth dealer. Then I read about Abe's here, which changed things in a hurry, I would never do business with them. I use B&H or Hunt's Photo locally.
There’ve been a lot of posts about Abe’s on this forum and they all say STAY AWAY!
