Let’s be clear on this “marine” wheeler.
He is Canadian born. Hold multiple citizens ship and passports- Canadian, American, Irish. And English.
Yes he served in the marines but was discharged with a BCD after serving time in jail.
He went Russia’s to attend a wedding but skipped the wedding to meet with a friend .
I love this quote;
“This was not a choice of which American to bring home,” Biden said. He later added: “Sadly, for totally illegitimate reasons Russia is treating Paul’s case differently than Brittany’s. And while we have not yet succeeded in securing Paul’s release, we are not giving up. We are never giving up.”
Then Joe, if you have balls, you don't strike a deal. I know for a fact that we're still buying goods from Russia, even after the Ukraine invasion. Certainly there are economic levers that are sufficient enough to get a hash smoking, women's basketball player out of trouble.
I've always thought that Greiner's arrest was bogus and wrong, nevertheless it was a horrible trade. You are spot on with your observation about identity politics. For Biden to cave on only getting Greiner back and not Whelan is a travesty. Unfortunately, those who buy into this being a good move have most likely forgotten how anti-American Greiner is. It will be interesting to see if she changes her tune about the U.S. now that she's back home.

Yes, don't forget her anti-American behavior and Soviet-like philosophy.

Just shows what value Biden really places on those who served.

Not sure why you call her - anti America.
Because she protested her beliefs .
Don’t forget we only sing the fist verse of the star spangled banner.
The third verse
“ And where is that band who so vauntingly swore,
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a Country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash'd out their foul footstep's pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and s***e
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave, And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave..

Biden trades global arms dealer responsible for who knows how many deaths for a former athlete. Worthless senile bum.
Another example demonstrating that Biden knows retail politics -- meaning here he sized up the political value of gaining the release of BG in return for giving up a relative nobody in the public eye. Putin certainly knows how to play on this level, too.

As far as I'm concerned anyone who kneels before the f**g, or the National Anthem is anti-American. I will never argue her right to her beliefs (protesting against police brutality as I recall) but there are other ways protest that belief. BTW, 1) how's Colin Kaepernick doing these days? and 2) please explain how you are linking the highlighted verse of our National Anthem to Brittany Greiner.

Your bold line refers to the make-up of the British army and navy during the battle for Baltimore.
I'd also like to remind the world that the UK did not abolish s***ery until 1833 and was mainly responsible for the import of s***es into the colonies. Britain also used the government coffers, taxes take from all its populace, to "purchase" the freedom of British s***es. So, s***e holders in the UK got reimbursed, instead of losing their shirts.

Really prove it and I will accept you reply. But forget. The written was a s***e holder. And ardent anti abolitionist.
Biden should have read "The Art of the Deal".
