Like most, I would double up on the ram and SSD. Usually cheaper to do when building rather than later. As for the gpu, yours is a good selection. Some photo editing software extensively use the gpu for heavy lifting. ON1 instantly comes to mind.

Type in the TG01-2285t into your browser and one of the places it shows selling it is Target. 859.00.

It will do fine, except for the 256 ssd. I would get 500 minimum. That is the"C" drive. Depending on software you want to install, some will not install on any drive but c. Others you can select where to install.

You'd be better off with a less powerful graphics card and 32 gigs of RAM. You don't need a 3060 for doing image processing. And I would go for a bigger SSD for faster read/write

Agree on BOTH!

Hello
More than enough, I would consider the Windows 11 Pro, otherwise, the system will do more than what you need.

I would too, along with 32 GB or even 64 GB of RAM. As mentioned, that may be upgraded at a later time along with increased capacity of an SSD.
Good luck with the new system!

More RAM to 32GB, 512TB SSD. Personally I'd still want Windows 10. If it were a Dell and not HP I would be drooling. The price - is it a Referb,

No - Siber Monday sale at HP

Unit had only 2 RAM slots and they were full, 2 X 8 GB, only 1 disc drive slot. Decided to get more familiar with options and not jump unprepared.

All fine, but you could use a larger SSD (at least 512 GB) and 32GB DRAM - see if those are available as options

I'd suggest a Samsung 980 Pro M.2 for your OS and other programs and an at least 1TB SSD for data.
I've just done a pile of upgrades on my 4 year old i7 Win 10 PC and the M.2 really helped - plus the additional 16GB RAM I installed last night improved the old girl from 'pretty quick' by going to the M.2 to 'really snappy' with a total of 32GB RAM.

You can buy 2x16 gb DDR4 ram fairly reasonable. Less than $75 total thru many merchants. Ditto on 512 SSDs. And if okay for now, you would wait to upgrade mem and SSD later. Still a pretty good deal.

Your computer will eventually slow down if you store all your photos on the HD. Use external drives to store your photos and you will be fine with your system.

PHRubin:

You can check out the MAXIMUM RAM specifications for the HP.
You would have to remove BOTH existing 8 GB chips and replace them with the CORRECT 16 or 32 GB chips for 32 or 64 GB of RAM.
It is sometimes better to order the Computer to your specifications rather than accepting the
"Deal of the day "
