YouTube TV. $65/month. It does more than the other streamers. Then add the extras you want a la carte. We are college sports fans and miss almost nothing.
I've been investigating cutting the cable, too, Xfinity is so expensive. One need the Internet, though, and a modem/router that is compatible with whichever Internet provider you use. That is the main reason I've procrastinated - not knowing which modem/router to but (rather than rent from Xfinity ad infinitum).
Check out FUBO TV, which offers all the network channels, and then some. I have a Samsung smart TV, so I'll be able to download the apps for other programming. I, too, am a Britbox devotee, and subscribe to Netflix and Amazon Prime.
I recently bought a Roku device, and pay to be a PBS Passport member. Haven't used it too much yet.

I'm in Gardena, CA, with a line-of-sight to the hill of transmit towers @ 10 miles.
My antenna gets @ 140 channels. BUTT this is LA!

I have 2x indoor antennas, 90 degrees from each other.
It's important that the wires from each are the exact same length.
They connect to a "T", and then to a cheapo amp, then to my TV/.
