Most of this scenery was from the area surrounding Lewisburg. We had the opportunity to chat with a gentleman who owned a substantial tract of property which he told us had been in his family for seven generations (images 4 thru 7).
The Herns Mill Covered Bridge has a plaque stating "Built Circa 1884, Rehabilitated 2000" and was only the second of the covered bridges we had come across still in use.
We found our second Mail Pouch Tobacco barn and I was saddened to see it looking neglected, but several striking Mail Pouch barns were yet to be discovered in the next few days.

These are beautiful country scenes. Well found! Looks like you found some delightful 2-lane roads to travel.

The photos of "Old farms and barns" are more interesting to look at than
the "big city" photos. When walking around the city to take photos of the new
Architectual marvels of the 21'st century, it's not much of a discovery compared
to what men and women raised up 100 years ago.

There might be a time, when the only place that you can view an old
barn is in a museum or photo album.

So sad to see them taken down.
