I tried to initiate a repair of My Canon 5D Mark IV. I went to the repair website from Canon and it keeps asking the same questions such as First Name, Last Name, E-Mail Address, enter a Password, Verify Password, First Name, etc.
I know I am doing something incorrect but still not getting in contact with USA Canon.
On the rear of my 5D Mark IV there is the Multidirectional Button underneath the START/STOP Live View Button. The Multidirectional Button had com loose and is about to fall off if not for a small piece of rubber holding it in place.
I have tried for two days to contact Canon USA. Is there a way I can just send an Email to Canon so that I can initiate my camera repair?
I have tried the Search Feature available without success.
Thanks to all my fellow hoggers in advance!

Depending on what Canon says and, more importantly, how much $$, you might check:
www.discountcamerarepair.comRick visits UHH on occasion and repaired my 5d4 for $125 when Canon wanted over $400.
I have a Canon MkIII that the button ripped off. Canon wanted 4 fiddy to replace it. Looked on Ebay and button 8 dollars. Looked on Youtube and there are vids showing how. 8 bucks and 10 min and fixed. The process does not impact any weather seals.
Also add that one needs to have some mechanical aptitude and micro-Philips screw drivers. If you do not possess that skillset, then....

When my Canon 5D Mark lll broke 3 years ago. I called and they advise I could send the camera to them ,they would advised the cost to repair and I could either agree or not. Either way they would send it back at no charge to me. The problem was the card slot had a wire lose. They repaired and clean for exactly what they told me it would cost.
Since you are from Brooklyn, as am I, I will tell you what I did with my 5D M4: There is a place in Bush Terminal buildings (3 ave in 30's) that is a video camera and equipment rental spot. They are also a drop off spot for Canon, since the NJ location no longer exists. I had the body and 3 lenses serviced using that drop off/pickup location with decent time for returns. Check them out, hopefully still there., Not a 3rd party repair, direct to Canon USA! Good Luck!
To all my fellow Hoggers: Thank you for assistance. Scruples
