I've been there and at about the same time too. I used a wide angle lens, either 9mm or 12mm, on a monopod which i held out into the canyon supported on the fence. I did get a bit of the lower river loop but as you say its difficult. I think your picture is great btw and you need the shadows on the left to make it look realistic. Thanks for showing this picture.

Thanks. That's sort of how I feel about the shadows. They ARE real. In one of my pictures where I leaned out over the fence I got some of the bottom of the river - or at least I think that's what it is! Maybe it's just the ledge!
