Tats do not attract me, but then I'm married and don't need to be attracted. It's not my style, but I'm an old fart and the only time I ever thought about getting a tattoo was when I had to memorize Maxwell's equations.

Tattoos to me are in the same fashion class as scars. But I'm not the boss of everyone (and particularly my wife) so I just ignore those people. To each (insert appropriate pronoun here) own.

The only Maxwell equation I ever needed was two level tbs of coffee per cup.

The next thing we know there will be folks passing laws to prevent a woman from getting a tatoo.

Not long ago tats were illegal in many states for men as well as women

I've always been a purest when it comes to the female form. To me tattoos and piercings (other than the ears) make that form less attractive, but then maybe I'm showing my age.

Yes, my wife and I have a tattoos (one each) in memory of my son who passed. Do we wish to have more? NO! Will it fade or blur? PROBABLY!

If I had a portrait of a model, is the tattoo the property of the artist or the model? Can the artist sue me for infringement of the tattoo? Do I need to pay the artist for the work on someone else’s body? How do I give credit to a tattoo artist I do not know when photographing someone?

I don't see the sense unless there's a genuine reason. For example, natives in the Pacific get traditional tattoos. Tattoos legal, and they're widely available, so if people want them, that's their choice.

I would never get a tattoo. First, I could never decide what to get applied to my body for the rest of my life. Second, where would I put it? The cost and the pain are secondary considerations. If I had a tattoo, I'd want to see it, so it wouldn't be on my back.

Going back to your original question, if I were looking for a woman, bare skin would win over tattoos. I've never seen a tattoo that improved someone's appearance. I think the widespread use of tattoos is a fade that will die out.

Ah, yes, another consideration. The tattoo guy doesn't usually create the art, though. He copies something that someone else has drawn. Play it safe and stop taking pictures.

Small taco on the ankle - maybe

But otherwise I find them disgusting. An on a pretty girl it is a desecration.

These people should have spent that money on photo gear.

This is the modern disease- if you don’t like what someone thinks of your behavior, you have the right to silence them by imputing to them malevolent motivations.
I hate tattoos- I think they’re a form of self-mutilation and self-hatred. Did I say anything like Scruples mentioned about “imposing” my will on anyone?

If you can’t read the comments and make that determination yourself what good would my pointing them out do?
Or do you need to be told what to think?

Absolutely not. Not any at all. They are 99.97% NOT art, just mediocre drawings by mediocre talents. There are a few exceptions who are truly talented but that doesn't belong on skin either. They do not enhance and improve the wearer. For the very VERY few lucky ones they aren't horrible. But for the rest they are horrible. What are the odds of being rejected for not having a tattoo? What are the odds of being rejected for having stupid, ugly tattoos?

What statistical analysis are you using to say that 99.97% are not art? Or did you just make that up?

99.96% of statistics are made up on the spot.
