A few weeks ago I took some real estate photographs using my Canon R with EF wide angle zoom (my usual kit for these jobs). I used a tripod and flash as per normal. I shoot in RAW with some post-processing to straighten verticals and crop as required.

As soon as the agent confirms receipt of the images I am asked (and do) delete my files.

Shock horror - when I happened to look at them today I was not happy with the colours (no HDR used). Any and all advice would be gratefully received - thank you.

Can't see what you are worried about? They look to be about the same as any other RIGHTMOVE posting I've looked at.

I've seen worse on Rightmove showings, but I've just looked at some offerings near me, and they do seem more saturated. The ones I looked at (being in a rural location) had a lot more green in the external shots and I wonder if perhaps Rightmove averages out over the complete presentation?

If you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have queried those shots.

Some cameras are set to internally generate more saturation when ‘developing’ JPG. Pentax cameras tend to be set to “bright” instead of to “natural” by default. It may be a marketing thing.

Hi Jimmy - that's much better. I don't know if the agent or Rightmove messed around with them or what. I use Luminar and/or Photoshop. Can I ask what adjustments you made in your editing? Thanks again

I used Topaz Photo AI in the default mode only.
For PhotoScape X (Free): I used "Dehaze" (default), "Deepen" (18/100), "Vibrance" (10/100), "Clarity" (50/100), and the "Spot Healing Brush" to remove the bright shadows from the window(?) on the floor in front of the fireplace. I was in a hurry so these adjustments were quickly done, much faster than making this response, haha.
All said your photo was very good with straight verticals and no exaggerated leading lines. I think that I would have closed the door completely or just a little bit more to reduce its size, but I wasn't there . . .
Please don't take offense at these comments as I do think that the only REAL Issue with this pic was that it was just a little overexposed, the rest are just nits.

I use primarily Topaz products along with PhotoScapeX. They both work well for me. PhotoScapeX (Free) can be used accurately with 3 or 4 clicks or you can REALLY get into serious editing. Some look vaguely out of focus. Check the headboard of the bed with butterfly quilt. I wonder if a large file uploaded to that site is compressed, which might change the clarity?

He probably output the JPEGs into the sRGB colorspace.

What colorspace did you use when creating the posted JPEGs? I'd start there in the investigation from looking at the post of the linked images. Look too at whether your monitor is color calibrated and / or possibly set too bright. Or, too dark, given the histogram on the images skews to the right / bright side.

The images look fine to me and the fact the person accepted them and told you to delete them says you are covered.. BUT

Just recover the files.

Mac and Windows will let you recover files from the trash bin.

If you emptied the trash bin there is a good chance the files are still there because they are only marked for deletion and are not really deleted when the trash can is emptied.

Form Mac use something like disk drill
Window there is a ton of free software like Recuva.
