My wife and I both served in the Marines at Camp Lejeune and both qualify. We were both notified by USMC way before the papers got hold of it. Weโ€™re both on the Marine Registry and are quite happy with the VA. What the VA canโ€™t cover, they can send us to major Hospitals that can. And yes, I had 43 Radiation treatments at the VA 8 years ago. All goneโ€ฆ thank you, VA.

Iโ€™m glad the VA took care of you.๐Ÿ‘

I too am tired of the Camp Lejeune commercials. Also the ones for Paraquat and Roundup, and all the debt consolidation commercials.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Actually you said it better than me. Sick of those commercials, not Camp Lejeune. OMG they are going back to 1953...really?

The shyster lawyer ads are bad enough but the constipation commercials are even worse.

The shame on this is that most of these are fishing for potential victims and then will transfer to another attorney once they are signed up. This happens anytime there is a big "class action." One example was the asbestosis cases - my wife had a friend that had the disease - he went to a local hospital who told him he had 6 months to live. He was bombarded with letters. I helped him get an expert at Penn Medicine to help him live as comfortably as possible - he lived for about 2 1/2 years, then helped him find a local asbestosis litigator that helped him and his widow settle for a sum that will last her lifetime.

On the Lejeune case, there is apparently some credence to the cancer. I'm helping the widow of a Marine friend that died of non-hodgkins lymphoma track down if he was there at any point. He was only 56 when he died. he was a captain in the corps and if the base caused his cancer I'd like to see that his widow and family are compensated.
