Here is my current favorite trail cam spot and also the most inaccessible; when I went out Monday to check on the camera and to search for a (nonexistent) shortcut, I wondered what HAD I been thinking. But the views were worth the effort, and I got some nice wildlife videos with no random hikers.

The scenery photos, as well as one of a spent puffball I threw in for entertainment, were taken with my phone; hauling a camera is too much on such a scramble. I hope you enjoy these.

beautiful scenery and shots...what a beautiful place to live!

Great captures!

Thanks! I give the trail camera credit for most of them, though I am patting myself on the back for the choice of location (even though it's impossible to get to).

The trail cam and you produce excellent results!

I appreciate your looking. That's one of my better trail cams and I love the quality of the photos and videos.

Outstanding shots no matter what they were taken with

Thanks! Sometimes it's a relief not to be lugging around a DLSR.

I always look forward to your trail cam photos. Those first two make it clear why they are called Mule Deer. Like the Coati-mundi. And the bear of course. Like your shoes too! ;-) !

Yeah, the shoes are favorites. We do also have whitetailed deer in these parts and they look very different. I have been catching individual coatis on my cameras and believe they must be solitary males, though I also recently got a family group of about twenty-five that included many young ones. I'll keep posting 'em!

Thank you! I do love where I live and am as proud of it as if I'd had something to do with its creation.
