We are in a serious drought, so we are asked to conserve water as much as possible.

Our illustrious Governor has decided to ban the sale of gasoline powered cars.
So, no gas cars after 2035, eliminating f****l f**l use and lowering emissions and save the environment.
On top of all that, due to the heat wave, we are asked to conserve electricity, particularly during peak demand hours.
But less than a week later, he asked us not to charge Electric Vehicle’s during peak hours.

Now, being most conscientious, our water company sent out the following notice:

Dear Cal Water customer:
As temperatures and energy demand rise statewide, California Water Service is doing our part.
We urge our customers and community to do the same.
To help reduce energy use and strain on the power grid, we are cutting our use of grid power during peak hours.
Instead, we will utilize our emergency backup diesel generators at key stations to operate our water systems.
Our generators will help reduce the energy we pull from the grid.
They will also put us in a good position to keep water flowing in the event of power outages in the coming days.
Neighbors close to these stations may hear noise from the generator while it is in use.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding.

During this time, we ask customers to be mindful of your water use.
Supplying water takes a great deal of energy, so every drop of water conserved saves energy.
Please observe the drought requirements that are currently in place.

They will use their diesel generators, which in turn will add pollution & carbon emissions into the air!
But I guess it is all for the common good.

Am I missing something here??

You cannot make this $hit up!!

Conserving water as policy and practice glosses over the actuality of water supply. After all, farmers use about 85 percent of the available water. Homes use about 5 percent. Industry, commercial, military, and government consume the remaining 10 percent.

As anyone can see, the conservation of water use should begin with the reduction of available water to farmers, as a matter of law and policy.

Then others would have plenty of water. The water reservoirs could begin again to accumulate storage water.

Elsewhere, we may learn of two other functions of dams: 1. Artificial water storage to control downstream flooding, and 2. Hydropower.

Our civilization in the Western United States depends on rational use of available water. The present distribution of water favors farmers over all others. This distortion must end. Lawmakers in the state legislators and in Congress must put their heads together to rationalize the claims of water users in the West.

Hopefully this is facetious to point out the level of lunacy attained by the left. For anyone serious about this, though, they should be among those banned from any grocery stores for the duration of said foolishness. More food for the intelligent and saves them from hypocrisy.

And later on they can artfully stack up the EV Batteries which no one has figured out how to recycle. Or maybe they plan on shipping them to another state.

There are companies that can recycle up to 95% of used Lithium-Ion batteries. If you can tell me where this pile of EV batteries is located, I'll come over to buy the lot....

Be fair, it's rumored that the Cal-GOPers want to bring back backyard incinerators for the LA basin.
