Not downloading as it is not for iPhons SE. iOS 16 is for iPhone 8 and later.

I got a message that I am eligible for and up grade on my Kyocera the other day, so I checked with the phone store and online ratings on the newer versions, very few if any were good, almost twice the price and half as sturdy as my old phone, But its 5G and can do all of this, what is all of this? can it get me better service? NO is the screen as tough No.
So what am I getting? Screwed and no kiss!!
I wonder if our great grand children will ever believe, "that once upon a time, a 'phone' was a telephone and a camera was a camera, and never the twain would meet".
But they did. And neither was ever the same again.
PS. One day in the not too distant future 5g will be the standard and they will switch of 4G. Just like 3G no longer works, well here anyway.
[quote=burkphoto]Early reports are that some users are having a few problems, but most are just trying to get used to the new software.
Like you I wait until the 1st or 2nd update - less buggy then.

3G is gone in the States and has been for a while. I think you're correct, 4G LTE will go away after 6G has been entrenched for a while.
As for the phone meeting the camera, Steve Jobs said that the iPhone (modern smartphone concept) was a convergence of hundreds of technologies. It is the culmination of centuries of technological developments that include every concept of print media, audio, radio, telephony, photography, film/videography, computing, the Internet, and many more. Jobs called these the "convergence technologies" and was quick to point out that the modern smartphone was born at the intersection of technologies and liberal arts.
Engineers began dreaming about it in the post-WWII years, as computers were developed, recording technology evolved, television evolved, radio technologies evolved, printing technologies evolved...
A visit to the web sites for any of the latest phones will bear this out. They are supercomputers connected to the Internet.
