Perhaps anther man would have accomplished the same result, given the times—but Trump is the man. Neither the democrat leadership, nor the spineless republicans knew how to stop him. There is no seamless way to right this ship—no matter what steps either party takes in the future. The division, beginning much earlier, but aggressively fueled by Trump and his lies; has become tragically unstoppable.
