I ordered a printer from B&H last week, delivery was scheduled for Wed., August 3rd with Fed-ex. At 7 p.m. last night I got an e-mail stating that my package had been delivered. Strange, because I have a ring doorbell and it showed no activity and there was no package at my door. I called B&H first thing this morning to let them know that I had not received the package and they said they would look into it. I also checked with many neighbors in case it had been delivered somewhere else by mistake. B&H sent me an e-mail stating that Fed-ex said it was delivered - end of discussion. So, am I out $700? Neither company seems to be concerned about this. I have been ordering from B&H for almost 20 years. Last month I spent $5,000 on a new camera. Do I have any recourse on this matter?

Call B&H and tell them you are going to dispute the credit card payment. If you don't getvavreaction from B&H. Contact credit card company and fill a dispute with them. Don't even messages with Fed-Ex.

Sounds like a nightmare. I have had some weird ones too not totally unlike that but more of they lost it and so I just got a refund or a reorder. Since I am home most of the time a delivery might be made and our dogs go nuts when ever they see or hear a delivery truck on our street we often greet the delivery guy at the door and get it handed to us directly.

Check at your local post office. It may have been dropped off there by mistake.

And if not there, try the dry cleaner. And if not there, try the gas station. And if not there, try the deli section at the grocery. And if not there, try the nearest Outback. And if not there, try the restroom at BK. And if not there ....

FedEx and UPS have contracts with the USPS for drop off service. You have to have a PO Box and use the post office's street address plus your box number. That’s how I get my deliveries because I don’t want my packages dropped on my porch. The driver could have inadvertently dropped it off and the PO staff scanned it in as received. So ya, check at the post office. You can run a fool's errand to those other places if you want to.

My address is 2895, guy down the street is 2985. Post Office, Fed-X, UPS all get us mixed up. My neighbor and I have gotten to be pretty good friends, walking back and forth to each other's house with a misdelivery.

Very Similar I live at 15 XXXXXXXX ROAD, Nearby there is a 15 XXXXXXXXX LANE. We get each other's stuff all the time. I refer to the people on Lane as my Mail Family.

I've called B&H twice. I opened a case file at Fed-Ex. I've checked with my neighbors. And I still have no answers. I will now contact the credit card company. Thank you all for your suggestions.

I have had my own problems with FedEx, including misdeliveries, running over my bushes, ruts in the grass and not following instructions. I have had a tiny fraction of those problems with UPS, USPS and Amazon. I absolutely refuse to use FedEx if there is any alternative available.

Please let us know if, when and how this is resolved.

I have had at least 2 experiences where FedEx says the item was delivered, yet it was not...only to have it delivered much later in the day or the following day. I suspect (pure conjecture) that it has to do with manipulation of on-time delivery stats. On big ticket items now I have them delivered by FedEx I always have the item re-routed to a local delivery center. To do that you need a free FedEx account and redirect from there.

I can say that I have had several occasions to dispute credit card bills. Rather than doing it on line via credit card portal which has limited text space, I always send a detailed letter to the cc company, to the address indicated on my statement, with verification of receipt, outlining the issue, often with attachments. Send a copy to the retailer. Works like a charm. The cc company has to debit the retailer, credit you (at least temporarily) and conduct an investigation. This debit often spurs the retailer into action as well. The one issue that I see that may be looming is that they (B&H and FedEx) allege it was delivered, and then it was stolen. Ring can miss some video. In that case, you would be the victim of the crime, with FedEx and B&H no longer responsible. I would strongly argue the item was never delivered, verified non-delivery on ring, no thefts in the area, neighbors did not see a deliver or mis-delivered and that THEY are responsible, not you.

UPS drivers work for UPS and are under the direct control of UPS. FedEx drivers work for whatever company has the contract in a particular area to make the FedEx deliveries. Those drivers are not under the direct control of FedEx. Enforcement of hiring standards and discipline for infractions of rules is up to the contractor. It should come as no surprise that standards vary from contractor to contractor. The FedEx system works when the contractor hires good people, fires the duds, and maintains FedEx standards. When a contractor doesn't do that the system sucks.
I have been quite lucky it would seem. Both UPS and FedEx have always given me great service. A new FedEx driver took over my route a couple of months ago and was leaving packages in the wrong spot on my property. I went to my FedEx acct, added a delivery instruction, and problem solved.
Anyone who routinely gets deliveries should set up the free accounts offered by pretty much any delivery service. The options available can make things go much smoother, although, even that won't always make up for an incompetent employee.

Makes no difference to me. To me, it is FedEx: they use a FedEx vehicle, wear FedEx uniforms and represent FedEx. Therefore it is a FedEx problem. If I use UPS, USPS or Amazon, problem solved.

I Too have had Fedex notify me that a package was delivered when it wasn't---probably 3-4 times, but in every case it showed up within a day or two.

About one year ago I received a package delivered to the correct number, but the wrong street. I think the delivery system was FedEx, but it could have been U.P.S. Either way, I did not look at the address, thinking this was a package for my wife, but later that day, she said she did not order anything. When I looked at the address, I realized the package was not for either of us, but for a person at the same number, but on the next street. I simply drove it over to him and solved the dilemma. So, when you say you checked with your neighbors, you may wish to ask the person with the same address on the next street about it as well.

Just a thought. Try to have a good day.

I did reach out to Henry. Just waiting to hear from anyone. It kind of pisses me off that I'm the one that has to chase people, file reports and make phone calls to various people. Come on, B&H! From the response I've gotten from them so far, I feel like they are just shrugging their shoulders. I tried calling Payboo, the B&H credit card but waited on the line for about 45 minutes with no response. I will try them again later.
