What a bummer, this has happened to me before with FedEx (though not a package from B&H). When Amazon started delivery themselves, I chuckled when I'd get a photo of my package on my porch, but now that its been a while, I'm really surprised FedEx and UPS have not implemented a similar photo policy.
Hope you get this resolved!

I ordered a printer from B&H last week, delivery was scheduled for Wed., August 3rd with Fed-ex. At 7 p.m. last night I got an e-mail stating that my package had been delivered. Strange, because I have a ring doorbell and it showed no activity and there was no package at my door. I called B&H first thing this morning to let them know that I had not received the package and they said they would look into it. I also checked with many neighbors in case it had been delivered somewhere else by mistake. B&H sent me an e-mail stating that Fed-ex said it was delivered - end of discussion. So, am I out $700? Neither company seems to be concerned about this. I have been ordering from B&H for almost 20 years. Last month I spent $5,000 on a new camera. Do I have any recourse on this matter?

I've had this sort of issue before, with all major delivery companies (FedEx, UPS, USPS). FedEx usually takes pictures of the delivered package at your door, and also records the GPS location of delivery. You can ask B&H to contact FedEx to get verification of delivery, or you can contact FedEx directly and ask them for photo and GPS verification. You can also mention that you have Ring footage showing the package was not delivered; that might speed up their response. If neither B&H or FedEx can provide where they actally delivered the package, then you can file a complaint with your credit card company.
Under no circumstances are you out $700. These companies mis-deliver packages all the time. Just last week, the USPS dumped 4 Amazon packages on my lawn, not addressed to me. I had to contact the people that ordered the stuff to come pick it up. Happens all of the time.
Just be persistant, and calm.
Package theft is a major problem in neighborhoods near me.
The thieves literally follow the delivery trucks and pick up packages after the UPS/FedEx/USPS/Amazon person walks away.
With Covid-19, many delivery companies are no longer enforcing the signature requirements for delivery.
FedEx will hold packages at local Walgreens. That is not always allowed, though.
Amazon also has delivery arrangements with various places, that may be local to you.
UPS will at least hold packages at their facilities.
Definitely options to make use of.
Take up the issue with your credit card. Once they realize that they won't get paid they'll go after the carrier. Since you don't get to select the carrier you shouldn't have to deal with them.
Usually no problems with B&H. But once a package was opened like to maybe peak inside. The package contained photo paper & the box looked like it was the right size for a tablet or small laptop. Fed-EX was the delivery company but contracted to a 3rd party delivery company. Nothing missing. Another time, (Fed-Ex) delivery from B&H, the same thing as you. Said package arrived but nowhere in sight. I live in a small condo property. Called B&H, told them & asked if I should call the cops. Guy chuckled & said no, wait until tomorrow. Next day the package was in front of my door when I woke up. Sometimes I call UPS or Fed-Ex & have them hold the package at the warehouse. Then I go pick it up. Both are in the same town, same road, very close to each other. Couple -3 towns over. = peace of mind.
Good luck, Tom
This is NOT a B&H issue. It is a FedX issue. FedX used to be flawless, but not anymore. I would demand proof of delivery (picture of item at your door). As a last resort, if FedX does not step up, dispute the credit card charge, which will force B&H to make a claim against FedX.
Please let us know how you make out. I have successfully used B&H several times and expect to in the future. Good luck!

You should PM henryp with your order # as well as any pertinent info. He may not have time to come back to this thread and thus may not see your order #.
BTW, I suggest you set up a FedEx acct. It's easy and free. You can set up alerts, leave delivery instructions and schedule/change deliveries.

I had a similar experience, fortunately on a smaller purchase, several years ago. Months later, I did find the package. It was hidden behind bushes near my front door but not at all visible until I actually got quite close.

Check this geed. You were contacted by B & H.
Against what some are suggesting, don’t waste any time at all. Trying to track your package down even with cooperation from both parties will more than likely take you days.
As many others suggested, call your credit card company and file a dispute. This surely should get B&H attention since they are not going to want to give the money back and not get their product back.
Get to the highest level of FedEx manager you can get to. If you have the ring footage recorded with a date stamp, hold on to it and refer it to FedEx. They can and need to talk to the driver to find out where he delivered it. If you got a message it was delivered, it was delivered somewhere.
I have been through this, finger pointing is common.
Good luck!

Good luck with FedEx. I’ve had such bad service on multiple occasions with them, that I’ve told businesses I will not do business with them if their only delivery company is FedEx. My experience is that they almost always deliver late whether you have paid for overnight or two day delivery, and they will not compensate you for that delayed delivery. They will probably deliver it today or tomorrow. If they don’t and you used a credit card, you can file a claim with your credit card provider who will undoubtedly credit your account while they investigate.

I'm definitely not a fan of FEDEX....to me they are called "FEDUP" and have approx. a 35% delivery fail rate to my residence.... packages often go somewhere else.....all other major shippers are in the 98% success range - USPS, UPS, DHL and Amazon all do way better by me. FEDUP is also harder to deal with/unresponsive/not interested. This despite GPS, plainly marked last name/address number mailbox, another number plate in the driveway entrance (150ft. driveway) with a marked gate/driveway sensor (bing bong) and a active camera....and by the way, since I'm retired I'm very often home for deliveries, and working out in the yard when they claim delivery....they definitely have some issues, and seem not serious about delivery integrity. If it wasn't for the vendors trying to make sure I get what I paid for, I think I'd be in a fight a lot more often. If Amazon can do very near 100% week in/week out, and it is rarely ever the same drivers (I see them and have video)...what is wrong with FEDUP? Talk to a manager at B&H, and definitely contact your credit card company.
