Just killing a little time on Whidbey Island the other day. I had planned to just relax on the beach and enjoy the 74 degree temps. It was 91 at home in Mount Vernon so it was really a treat. I walked down to the beach, with the camera of course, mid-day summer harsh light was in full effect but you never know what might happen....
I noticed a couple sitting in the sun off the beach staring intently through binoculars. Hmmm.... what are they checking out?
Looks like a bumper crop of fir cones this year!
Downloads highly recommended and any suggestion are always welcome.

If fir cones were dollars, you'd be rich!
Mt Baker always seems to get into shots in the PNW.
I can identify with enjoying some cooler temperatures!

Thanks Johhny! I sequenced it just that way and it's good to know it was recieved as such!
Imagine the wealth if those cones were dollars for the entire PNW!
Today is much more temperate, south of the border so I hope you are enjoying a little relief as well!
