Very cool capture. What goes on underneath all the pipes?

I worked around a treatment plant for a lot of years... reclaimed water is getting to be a big deal with the scarcity of natural water. Our biggest problem was storing it in the off season and trying to balance out usage throughout the year... Ponds in golf courses were used and that required constant management of levels... Reclaimed water in the transmission lines tended to aid the growth of organisms ( small snails ) , which in turn wreaked havoc on residential irrigation systems. I had 3 guys who did nothing but flushing and cleaning strainers to try and stay ahead of the situation. Our county wide solution was to expand distribution and encourage more usage to even out the overall usage throughout the year... water is an interesting subject as all water is not the same and does not like to mix well if different sources are utilized. Ah, the good old days... brings back memories, some horror stories also.

Bob, my position was managing a database of all the water dept. controlled items, pipes, joints, valves, etc. Thus, I had access to the entire facility. I really enjoyed that work. Although I knew where everything was, I wasn't always acquainted with what it did. However, if it was in the ground, I knew about it.
