Have a favor to ask of you. Actually, a suggestion: Wagner's Flight of the Valkyries.

A variation on a theme. In May 2020 I began a 6 months stay in hospital due to multiple surgeries and multiple infections. It was also the time of Covid; no visitors. When I could focus on some part of my life before this ordeal family and friends called daily to talk and provide a lifeline. When I needed to escape the reality, it was my photography that transported me. Favourite shoots and images came to mind. Visualized images yet to be taken and speaking with anybody in the care group who was interested in photography helped me greatly. Introspection about my purpose with photography allowed me to escape the reality for short periods of time.

Wow so you didn't have your computer to review images, you just visualized the images? That is impressive! I'm glad photography helped you get through the ordeal ok. I can relate to that.

I resemble that curvy road remark. I take my camera along. A curvy mountain road, named Pimua, led me to this photo.

True, but I remember the old Flash Gordon serials on TV - the ones made in the 1930s. I remember "Flight..." from when the spaceship was flying. It might be a false memory, but it's good enough for me.

Yeah I remember those. They were all in BW and you could see the strings holding the toy spacecraft!

The hairs on the back of my neck go up when I discover something beautiful in a photo that I had initially passed over. However, between the D850 and a couple of amazing primes I am amazed at what can hide under a bit of LR processing. Read as frantically trying all the LR sliders 🤪

I overexposed a bunch of shots early in a shoot and went back to mine them for something salvageable. Here is an example of a screw up from that series and what came out of LR.

It is especially rewarding when you can crop compositions to your hearts content or discover a bit of editorial humor.

Photography is my day job. It's a great day job but sometimes it ain't very glamorous. Like today, I spent most of the day and the better partof the week photographing paving equipment. This was was steam roller day!. I came back covered in asphalt- and the smell...ugh!

So...I went to the office and sat down at the computer to do some quick edits and I needed to "escape" so I put on my headset and listened to a recording of Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. I used my headset becse the other nice folks I work with prefer rock and rap and consider Strinskyvy an acquired taste that they, as yet, have not acquired.

Well, I got inspired and this is what happened. What do y'all do to ESCAPE the routine?

I find your result quite interesting and beautiful. I see firey flowers of various colors in it. A bit unusual but quite enjoyable in a mildly abtract visual display. Thank you for sharing.
