I believe that Flickr was purchased by Smugmug. I have both.

I built My Adobe Portfolio WEBSITE and since I have the Subscription, I happen to be doing very well. I have my Business Cards with the info. that a Potential Client can go to and order Prints. I still have to add more Photos though and I'am with Fine Art America and after People punch my name of my Photography Business, I will then show up on the very Top of the Google Page. And Pixels.Com has some of my Images showing right on the Google Page. But, I give credit to Adobe for making My SEO Stand Out, plus not many people out there have my rare Name so that helps. I would encourage My Fellow Photogs to get the Adobe Subscription and then setup Portfolio and You get LRC and Photoshop CC to boot. I Thank You for pointing this out.

Thank you Nickaroo. And you are not the only one to recommend this option. I will look into it.

Nickaroo,

I also use the Portfolio. But I do not see a commerce option. Do people just go to your site and then tell you what they want?

Please advise.

Thanks

Sharing photos with friends. And I keep my portfolio there as well.

Allow downloads.

Not selling.

Yes long term Photography Plan subscriber.

I think that is what ChrisKet suggested. It could be a very good solution as I already have the subscription.
I will look into it. Thank you.

JD, these are exactly the purposes for which I have used flickr since 2007: keep my best images there, although I keep non jpeg copies on the ol' hard drives, share the images with friends, and allow downloads.

I just got started with Smugmug and really like it. I photograph a lot of 5k type races and can just share a gallery link to Facebook so runners can view/download there photos. My site will get its biggest test to date as my next race is a National Championship event and I’m guessing I will be taking several thousand photos which will all be uploaded to my site. Excited to see how that goes.

If you are using Adobe’s subscription version of Lightroom and Photoshop, they give you Portfolio that includes up to 5 different sites. It’s easy to use and I’ve seen some UHH’er sites that are quite stunning.

Where is this option found?

Yes, very easy to work with and create a professional looking site. You can also buy your own domain and point it at your portfolio site. My website is still a work in progress but it’s using Adobe MyPortfolio.
