The responses are interesting, about half seem to prefer tha ones which isolate the single bloom, other half prefer more inclusive. I thought the bright out of focus blooms were distracting, but, it appears, others prefer that. That is why art is so subjective.

here are 2 with some cropping on the right side, do you think they are better, or worse? the brightness on the left still disturbs me a bit.

It is too bright. Take the first one and tone down the out of focus flower on the left about half way, and I think that should do it. For me, if there's just the purple flower, and it's in the center, it's a bit stark.

I would leave the one in the upper right corner as it was and tone down the one on the left side about half way between the original and the way you did this last one. I believe that would work for me.
The little spot in the upper right adds some balance for me, and this last iteration just has an out of focus blob on the left, for me - needs a little definition, but not enough to draw the focus away from where it should be..
