This is meant as a joke but with today's prices I can't bring myself to laugh.

True Mike, it was posted as a joke but in reality, its more of an indicator of the sad state this country is in thanks to politicians....and many other factors.
We have to make a trip next week to San Diego. We checked air fairs. $600 round trip each. We compared that to purchasing 100 gallons of gas plus rental car, if we could get one, and decided driving would still be least expensive, plus we're assured of a car with no rental cost at whatever rate that would be.

Just altered my trip to Alaska in a couple of months due to rental car prices ($1600/wk) not to mention fuel costs...nah, its just crazy....Cheers.
Does not go high enough for our f150. I purchased 23 gallons of fuel at $5.11 yesterday at Cosco. we have the larger tank that gives us an over 600 mile range with a full tank

One of them being an insane war.

Aren't they all insane?
No. It actually depends on the purpose of the declared war. The insane ones are those waged for the purpose of eradicating people without cause. Caused and pushed by insane "leaders".
There are sides to wars. None are waged on the self.

Of course the history is written by the winners.
Our side was not insane in WWII, their side was.
Our side was not insane in 1775, their side was.*
There are, however other wars...
*1775 is generally taken as the start of the American Revolution. However, there were significant incidents prior to that which could be taken as a starting point. E.g. Worcester County MA drove out the British judges in 1773. Something like half the men in the county showed up and forced the British to close their courts. The Boston Massacre occurred in 1770.

That is a chunk of change!! At least you're getting decent mpg. I love those big tanks. When our kids were young we had an Astro van with 4 bucket seats and a bench that could fold down. It had a 27 gallon tank. On a trip we could go all day on a tank and refuel in the morning. My youngest daughter loved that van so much that she bought a Durango with the same configuration for her family.
