That's backward. The lower the amount of fuel left the higher the amount of money needed to refuel it. Besides prices change very quickly it would need to have an internet connection to keep the gauge up to date.

So true and would need to include triple digits.. but then again just a comical reference to the out-of-control fuel prices we're seeing.

The $80 shouldn't be at the Full mark. It should be near the empty mark. The gauge should indicate how much to fill it up.

I think its telling what you need to spend...but add another digit after this week...
That must be for economy cars! For My Ford F250 Deisel those numbers would have to be doubled!
At the Dollar General I bought ice cream today and told the cashier I wouldn't be buying it much longer because when I can no longer afford to drive to the store the ice cream would be melted by the time I walked home. I don't need to drive that much and I'm getting around 30mpg and I'm glad of that.

I reiterate: is the glass half empty or half full...
It depends if one is looking up or down.
So we're
both correct.
Your direction, $80 to fill an empty tank ($20 to top off).
My direction, $80 to fill the tank ($20 to put in a little).

When I was driving my truck I would fill it frequently when the price was rising and wait til it was almost empty when the price was dropping.
