I was looking thru my PC & found this ....
The original point and shoot!
My mom had a blue one. There was a little lever to select for inside or outdoor exposure. I think I still have it. That'll be a search.
Rather comparable to the current cell phone cameras?
$25.00 back then was a nice piece of change.
Love the descriptor that it's the "only camera anybody can use without instructions." But then have to wonder about the content of the "primer."

It covered 100 frames of large format film plus all those prints, plus shipping out the complete camera to Kodak and then back to the user with a fresh 30 foot roll of film in it. You really got your moneys worth.

Not really. With the aid of cell phone apps you can do all sorts of stuff that this camera simply cannot do.
Around $870.00 in today's dollars. It must have been pretty exotic back in the day...

Not really. Cell phone cameras take several exposures at once and layer together the best of them to create an image. It's sophisticated computer wizardry in the palm of your hand.
Love the ad! My Dad and my wife's Dad were both EK employees back in the 1950s-1970s. I worked closely with their HQ and Medical Imaging Divisions from the 1980s - 2015. Many of our siblings, Aunts, and Uncles were Kodakers too. I'll post some Kodak artifacts soon. Thanks for making me homesick. [ My wife has used a little EK Instamatic camera for 30+ years. It's held together by masking tape but, it's small, light, uncomplicated, and takes acceptable snaps when the auto-lens shield doesn't stick halfway open. She is finally starting to talk about replacing it and mentioned buying a new Kodak camera. Talk about brand loyalty! I will be sure she upgrades to a Sony or Canon. (Sorry Dad(s) and George!) ]

In my opinion one of the greatest ad campaigns of any company.
