Is there anyone else who purchased one of these? It has a nice HD camera built into it, and I thought I could get some unusual shots I'd like to have. I was able to get the drone powered up, one time, complete with two headlights, and I got it to fly, here in my den. So I grabbed it before it hurt itself. Could not get it started again. And even then, I just kept pressing buttons to get it powered up. The instructions are so utterly vague, it doesn't even tell how to power up the drone.

I'm hoping the answer is 'yes', so I'm asking: Is there anyone else here who has purchased a Quadcopter Drone?

Many, many different brands and models. More details? Picture would be better!

I've never uploaded an image, but I'll try, and here is what I'm trying.

Try YouTube, they sometimes have videos. Did you try a drone/controller reset? Try removing the battery. It may also need a firmware update?

Model and brand may allow for real research to see if there is a known issue.

Folks have forums just for this kind of things...

Model number would be great. It has none. The""instruction"" slip of paper has none. And Youtube has a gazillion different ones, and when I put Quadcopter Drone into Google, I find even more.

That is why I was keeping my fingers crossed that one of you would have one that matches the photo of mine. Maybe one will yet surface here.

I did a search for Areoquad Drone Review and all I found that they said it was a scam. So if you can return for money back then you should do so. Otherwise I guess you lose $99.

I've given that some thought. Then when I called the company, told them that the first drone was bad out of the box, then promised to send me another, and they did. Then, when a experimented, I actually DID get the drone to power up, and with the hand controller, I got it to fly. So it is all workable. So I don't think this one is a scam. I just need detailed instructions.

Your link took me to the one I purchased, and it shows with the highest rating on that website.

Like most anything, you get what you pay for. You will not get much for $99 so see if you can get your money back. A decent drone will set you back at least a few hundred dollars. The DJI "Mini" series is an excellent choice for a beginner. Explore YouTube where there is a wealth of information. Go to the drone section here at UHH for some good advice from drone enthusiasts. Make sure you are aware of all federal and local regulations.

Aren't they all quadcopters? As much as I like the idea of a drone, I see three outcomes for me: losing it, crashing it, and sticking it in a closet after three days. The good ones are too expensive for that.

I agree with you, Jerry. Since this one actually did fly in my den, I know it is operable. In fact, when it ascended 2 feet off my desk, it hovered, which is what they say it would do. So, for the money, this is the perfect one for me, and perhaps for you too Jerry.
