I’ve said it before: learned with slide film, so I’m not that ‘let it burst’ kind of guy…and was pushing my anxiety taking multiple shots for a given pose, but it kinda worked.
I’m also more of a ‘candids’ kinda guy. Let me catch you not looking, when your real self shines through.
Fortunately Auntie Kayla was there to help. She got the kids posed, got them smiling, told me when to shoot another, suggested good shots.
I picked a good venue…a local park with some nice settings…and most of these worked.
I do recall my first wedding, however, surprisingly it wasn't that stressful, in fact, was a bit of fun. I arrived early, scoped the venues, double checked equipment and supplies, ran a couple of set-up shots to verify and before I knew it, it was over...all good!

D810 with 24-85D, switching between SB800 flash and on camera flash on an otherwise slightly gray day.
Yeah…got a few out of focus shots (BBF really helped out here…only focus if I moved, picking one subject or the other), a few trees in the head, lots of eyes closed or no smiles.
I think I can pull off 10 to 15 good shots, cropped and exposure tweaks when they pick them. Not sure I’ll do this again, but I think the customer will be pleased.
