Curmudgeon, thank you, great question! Perhaps there is not much photography here, and thus breaks the rules overly much. Most of the image came out of an earlier work of mine and PS and digital painting techniques were heavily used, so I am thinking that meets the post processing requirement.

Here then is her sister, Queen of the Damned, which was baselined on a macro image of an ant I took years ago and applied digital painting techniques to. Thus, this one is closer to the camera than to the imagination (which I wished I had when I saw Medusa as no one believes I might have seen her!)

LOL, makes me think of my real dog, a big yellow lab that ran into a porcupine last year (we keep her on a leash always now days - so that she does not do that again). Her faces was filled with quills. There is more horror in our real world than there is in dark fantasy..

A truly beautiful image Piet. Good to see you back here. You’ve certainly mastered the art of combining paint and pixel.

thank you Dave for encouraging me. It is a journey and master has thus far played no part in it. But a baby crawling through doors into rooms that are sometimes best left closed.

You could probably get a job making dark dystopian Hollywood horror film posters.

Thank you so much for your encouragement Fotoartist. LOL, I could go there and empty their waste baskets for them and probably see all their failures - that to use would be pieces of magic!!

Imagination beyond compare. Piet, this is a breathtaking work of dark and disturbing art. I love it!!

No worry about section rules, which do mention "significantly modified" photos

As suggested by Fotoartist, a very cinematic feel to the images- very nice work in/on each and excellent imagination.

LOL, good gosh thanks for your encouragement Walt. OK, these two belong together, the first is more traditional while the second was predicated on the first and I call HeartWyrm
