Hi UHH Friends. A few days ago, a good friend contacted me to accompany him to move his boat from the storage yard to the lake (Michigan). This is a semiannual (spring & fall) ritual in Chicago which interrupts street traffic for bridge streets that cross the river leading to the lake. It’s a long and fun tour, conducted only on Wednesdays and Saturday’s because of the bridge-lifts across…..(I know, been caught in that traffic and it’s a bomber). Oh, I also caught the return of Chicago’s flag ship, the “Windy” a 148’ schooner that had just returned to the city. Here’s a few (10) highlights from the down river spring trip:
