We returned home yesterday and I have not downloaded all my photos, but I thought that these shots I took during a lecture by LowcountryRaptors.org would be a good start. All these birds are rescues and unable to return to the wild. This great organization visits various resorts on Hilton Head Island. The presenter allowed me to move around the room during the lecture so long as I did not use a flash.

The owls included a burrowing owl, screech owl and great horned owl. The hawk is a small one she identified as a broad wing hawk.

The eye focus worked and you can see my reflection in some of the eyes. I liked the nictating membrane shot of the GHO.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Gorgeous set, with great detail in download. Wonderful that places exist for those beautiful raptors needing a refuge. Thanx for sharing!

Both of the small owls are blind in one eye, they are rescue birds.
