Well done! You wrote, "...using Canon's slide show feature and an HDMI cable." What part of that is unique, say compared to putting your images on a thumb drive for your TV?

It is not unique in that the same thing could have been done other ways, but this way you do not have to add a third party (the thumb drive) into the picture. If the HDMI cable is permanently attached to the TV, simply plug it into the camera and you are ready to go. No separate group of downloads, no need to have additional devices.

When are you traveling to Oslo to receive your award? What will you do with all the money? Will they pay your way and provide motel?

They had better pay my way. An excess of money is a problem I have never had to deal with. I welcome the challenge.

I know all about rigged elections. I have lived in Chicago all my life.

The OP’s method reads like a Rube Goldberg solution to me.

Not complicated at all. For most of us, who already had their files on a computer, simply move them over to Camera folders you can create in a second. If you already left the images with the name assigned them when you took the picture, everything is fine. If you have changed that name, then you have to change it back to the Canon standard. (Not necessarily the original name).

A lot of my images have the same file names because I reset the number once in a while.

Gotta get my passport renewed. I will take lots of pictures on that occasion and put them on my new vacation SD.

Wrong question. The first questions should have been ... What camera are you taking, what lenses will you take on the trip, etc, etc., etc,.

My 77D along with my "holy trinity" of lenses. Canon 10-18, 18-55, and 55-250. Perhaps also my Tamron 28-300.

Yes I had a few instances of that. Rename one of the files.

Got it! Thanks. I remember a camera I had once that would do that but I always cleaned the card after each shoot.

Maybe traveling to Stockholm would be more productive.
